Kia mahara ki a Felicity

Felicity with her beloved dog Maddie

Felicity Stacey-Clark  15 October 1952 – 12 June 2023

Felicity died suddenly and unexpectedly on 12 June last year. She had been a committed LAVA member from the time we reformed in 2020 and is missed by us all.

We miss her sharp wit, her ability to cut to the heart of an issue and her extensive knowledge and understanding of how the news media works in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Some of us had known Felicity for decades, others only in more recent years and we will each remember her in our own way. At this time of the anniversary of her death however, we all want to acknowledge that despite the many difficulties she faced in life, her staunch advocacy for women and children and especially for lesbians never faltered.
